To address ResMart’s challenges, we designed a comprehensive solution that focused on modernizing its e-commerce platform and ERP system to enhance performance, security, and customer experience. Our approach was phased and detailed, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
Implementation Process
- Upgraded ResMart’s platform from Magento 1 to Magento 2.4.4, utilizing advanced features, improved performance, and enhanced security.
- Implemented the Porto theme and incorporated technologies such as PHP 8.1, MySQL 8.0, and REST APIs.
- Re-implemented key customizations from Magento 1 in Magento 2.
- Integrated critical extensions and plugins from Amasty, BSS Commerce, Mageplaza, and Firebear.
- Supported functionalities including SEO, product management, data import/export, and user experience enhancements.
- Transitioned from the WebERP system to Epicor Prophet 21.
- Implemented a robust and scalable ERP platform to support efficient business operations.
- Ensured the new system was capable of scaling with ResMart’s growth.
- Developed a stand-alone connector to ensure seamless data flow between Magento 2 and Epicor Prophet 21.
- Facilitated robust communication for key functionalities like inventory management, pricing management, and order synchronization.
- Conducted extensive testing to ensure real-time data updates and operational efficiency.
- Enabled synchronized orders, quotes, product information, available stock, and shipping/invoices between the two systems.
- Used a specialized data migration tool to transfer data from Magento 1 to Magento 2.
- Ensured accurate data mapping for a seamless transition, maintaining the integrity of customer data, product details, and order histories.
- Adopted a phased deployment strategy to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.
- Gradually rolled out the new Magento 2 website and ERP system, ensuring stability and thorough testing at each phase.
