GfK MyScan is a business-use app exclusively available to selected analysts at GfK. Analysts use the app to record shopping activities at stores like Aldi and Lidl by scanning purchases, entering untagged items, and uploading receipts. This data is collected to support report generation, with analysts earning reward points upon reaching set targets, such as uploading receipts.

The project’s main challenges involved developing a seamless data entry experience that ensured accuracy and maintained strong engagement from analysts.
Our Solution
The proposed solution was meticulously developed from scratch to address GfK’s specific needs by integrating advanced technologies and user-centric features. The solution’s core components include OCR-enabled receipt scanning for automated data extraction, allowing analysts to quickly capture and review essential shopping data, significantly reducing manual data entry time.
Additionally, a manual data input option via structured questionnaires ensures data collection flexibility when receipt scanning isn’t feasible. The solution also enhances user engagement through features like survey management, reminders for timely submissions, and easy access to account information, FAQs, and support resources, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
