Our client, an urban planning and community advocacy organization based in Baltimore, Maryland, is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the city’s neighborhoods by tackling urban blight. Their mission is to engage residents in identifying and addressing run-down properties, ultimately fostering healthier and safer communities.

Key Challenges

Our client needed a technological solution that would enable residents to actively monitor and report blighted properties. However, several significant challenges needed to be addressed first:

Our Solution

Our team did thorough analysis and identified several key requirements for the project: a user-friendly interface to enhance community engagement, real-time data reporting and tracking to streamline communication with authorities, geolocation and mapping integration for accurate documentation, and robust data security measures to protect sensitive user information.

According to our analysis, the solution we developed was the “Fight Blight BMore” mobile app. We built this app that met the client’s requirements by providing a powerful yet user-friendly tool that allowed residents to report, track, and monitor blighted properties within their communities.
