Position Summary
The Lead QA test engineer is an integral part of our Quality Analysis team, assisting in the development of our innovative software products. The successful candidate must be able to quickly learn the existing systems and components, and will participate in extending them as the business grows.
The ideal candidate must ensure compliance of all company internal and industry-relevant QA standards and guidelines for his team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting up Test Automation frameworks onmultiple application platforms like Web, Mobile.
- Good grasp in at least one programming language, preferably Java.
- Must have exposure as well as hands-on experience of manual as well as performance testing for various web based, mobile based and desktop-based Software Products and Application projects.
- Must have exposure to “Appium” for Native & Hybrid Apps automation testing.
- Hands-on experience in writing automation test scriptsfor web apps using Selenium, TestNG framework, Extents reports.
- SeTesting principles & methodologies, testing methods(Regression testing, Usability testing, Acceptance Testing, System testing, Performance
testing, Load Testing, etc.), - Must have strong experience working in the Software Testing field throughout the career across all phases of software development life cycle.
- Must be familiar with Load / Performance Testing toolslike Jmeter/ LoadRunner
- Working knowledge of Jira/BugZilla/unfuddle for reporting & furthertracking of bugs.
Required Skill Set and Experience
- B.Tech, or MCA in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience in testing roles.
- Well versed with Manual testing and Automation (Selenium with JAVA )
- Possess good knowledge of using Testlink or othersimilar tools.
- Basic understanding of any one framework like Data Driven Framework, Keyword Driven Framework, Hybrid Framework.
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients.
