Company Overview
Barcoo is a barcode scanning app that has the ability to scan barcodes, QR codes and EAN codes. It has a very simple functionality that provides you detailed information about the products you scan. Our client Offerista wanted the Barcoo app and a whole suite of different localized apps for other European regions. The sister apps that we developed with Barcoo are Marktjagd (Germany), Prospecto HU (Hungary), Broshura BG (Bulgaria), Ofertolino RO (Romania), Wogibtswas (Austria), Wunderkauf (Germany), and Ofertolino PL (Poland).
Key Challenges
Our client had a vision to launch Barcoo as an advanced barcode scanning app that can provide users with product information and price comparisons. While expanding to different European regions, the client faced several significant challenges.
Our Solution
Our team conducted a thorough analysis of the client’s business requirements and market dynamics. We proposed a comprehensive solution to address the challenges and support the client’s expansion strategy. Barcoo app’s initial functionality was to provide authentic product information by scanning the barcode, QR code or EAN code.
With this, we also added some advanced functionalities that could enhance user experience like the users could compare prices of different products from the app itself and they could get to know the local offers too. Moreover, the users can use the Barcoo app to check offers, browse different stores and even refer to digitized brochures for better user experience.
